Renting a Home:
Finding a Home to Rent

Renting a House

Usually, renting a place to live means an apartment, but you also might consider renting a house or a manufactured home. When renting a single family dwelling there are some additional items to consider. In rural and semi–rural areas you will need to consider the cost and availability of public and utility services including water, electricity, natural gas and sewer. Be sure the property is in good condition. Who is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the property, appliances and household systems should be specifically stated in writing. Also record the condition of interior and exterior areas of the house and any other structures such as a detached garage.
